Where science speaks
Every death leaves evidence. Every finding tells a story.
The Medical Examiner's Report examines real cases through the lens of forensic science, autopsy findings, medical evidence, and documented investigative facts.
Hosted by Kisha Chanelle, MER goes beyond the headlines to explore what the evidence reveals, what it doesn't, and the questions that remain.
Beyond the Headlines. Into the Evidence.
True crime tells you what happened.
MER asks how we know.
Each case is examined using available forensic findings, official records, documented timelines, credible reporting, and other supporting evidence.
We separate confirmed facts from witness statements, independent opinions, allegations, and unanswered questions—because understanding a case requires understanding the evidence behind it.
-
We break down autopsy findings, pathology, toxicology, and forensic evidence in language everyday listeners can understand.
-
Our reporting is built around documentation, credible sources, and clearly attributed statements.
-
Behind every report is a person. Victims and their families are never simply content.
-
We don't just tell you what a report says. We help you understand what the findings mean—and what they don't.

CASE FILE 001
Nolan Wells
A Fourth of July trip to Horn Island ended with a young man missing and, two days later, his body being discovered.
His friends said Nolan chose to remain behind.
Other reported accounts have raised questions about that timeline.
His cellphone and keys were reportedly no longer in his possession.
And while his family waited for answers, they sought an independent forensic examination of their own.
In our first report, we reconstruct the documented timeline, examine the conflicting reported accounts, and walk through the available preliminary forensic findings.
Not to speculate.
To understand what the evidence can actually tell us.

Don't just listen to the report. Examine the case file.
Truth Through Science. Dignity Through Storytelling.
The Medical Examiner's Report was created with a different approach to true crime.
The goal isn't to turn someone's death into entertainment.
It's to understand the science, evidence, and investigative process surrounding it.
Every episode begins with the recognition that behind the autopsy report, evidence photograph, case number, or headline was a real person whose life mattered.
MER is committed to approaching those stories with curiosity, accuracy, compassion, and respect.
Every case has evidence. Every victim has a story.
